Paying with Change

My mistake this deal runs through February 25, 2012, however I was just at the Walgreens at 31st and Halsted and their product was running low.

You only have until the end of today to get this free deal done.  There is a $3.00 off got 2b (Schwartzkopf hair styling products) coupon in the February 12, 2012 edition of the Chicago Tribune and a Walgreens deal that ends tonight for buy one get one free.

Buy 2- Sunday Tribunes at the Dollar Tree $1.00 each.  I went to the one at 3145 S. Ashland Ave  the coupon is in the red plum section.  You need 2 of the same coupons for this deal and a filler item.  The Walgreen's coupon policy will not let you redeem a coupon over the value of the item, however they will let you use a manufacturers coupon for the free item.

Pay the tax on the $5.99 and the cost of whatever you used as the filler item.  This was my deal.

2- got 2b products buy one for $5.99, get one free.
use 2-$3.00/1 coupons
4- Bags of M&M's 2/$1.79
used 2- $1.50/2 Any seasonal M&M/Mars candies printable no longer available

I paid $1.48 out of pocket.

Paying with Change

Dominick's has my attention with their consistent low price of milk, available with their just for you pricing.  Weekly I check their ad and go to their website, today I went in for the $.39 a pound bananas and free yogurt.  Here is what I spent:
  • 2 lbs of Bananas $.73
  • 1 Yoplait lactose $0
I pulled out my change purse and handed over 75 cents

The yoplait was a freebie that I loaded on my just for you reward card.

I also went to Jewel to pick up some Duncan Hines cake mix $.88 each with coupon,

2-cake mixes $1.29 each
  • used store coupon $.82
  • used 2-$.35/1 SS 2/5/12
Out of pocket was $1.10

Let me know about your paying with change adventures.

Paying with Change

O.K., I know I push it when I say a $2.00 or $3.00 purchase constitutes paying with change, but I always have a lot of quarters in my purse. I'll limit my post to anything under or close to $2.00.Last night I went off to Jewel to pick up some Barilla pasta buy 2 get 1 free. I had 2-$.55 off one so I used those and I had a Jewel coupon (sent by mail) for $2.00 off any produce.

I grabbed
3-Barilla Whole Wheat Pastas $3.00
1- bunch of Celery $1.00

1-3lb bag of yellow onions $1.00

I used:
2- $.55 off SS January 8, 2012
1-$2.00 off produce Jewel coupons.com

I paid $1.97 or $.39 per item.

Let me know how you pay with change. But, lets realistically keep it under $2.00.

Paying with Change January 8, 2012

I shop several times a week and I love to play paying with change.  I usually only do this if the total is less than $2.00.  I pull out my change purse and pay from that instead of my wallet.

Today I headed to Walgreens and only wanted a couple of things.  The reach dental floss $2.99 and the listerene mouthwash $3.99.  I had printed a coupon for the listerine $1.00 off and the reach dental floss $1.00 off before I left.

I payed for the dental floss first and used the $1.00 off coupon, the total was $2.03.  I received a $2.00 register reward for this transaction.  My next transaction was for the listerine mouthwash; I also had a coupon for this, but needed another item so I could use 2 coupons for the transaction (one manufacturer and one register reward) I added a nestle crunch bar for 39 cents.  I handed over my coupons and paid $1.77.

Let me know if you also play this little game.
